All “Good” in Our First CQC Inspection

Manaaki Healthcare: A Beacon of Supportive Ethos Praised in CQC Inspection

In the heart of Hertford, a shining example of compassionate care is making waves. Manaaki Healthcare, a dedicated care provider, has received an overall 'Good' rating from its very first planned inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) since its inception in 2019. This excellent achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment to their mission of providing exceptional care and support to the community.

The CQC inspection evaluated the service on five crucial aspects: Safety, Effectiveness, Responsiveness, Caring, and being well-led. Manaaki Healthcare earned a 'Good' rating in each of these categories, showcasing their consistent high standards and policies.

During the inspection, the CQC discovered numerous heartwarming instances where the staff at Manaaki Healthcare went above and beyond their call of duty. One instance saw them bringing daffodils and an Easter egg to a customer who was unable to attend her local church, leaving her deeply moved. In another heartwarming gesture, the team built trust with a customer by organizing haircuts, chiropractor visits, and meal deliveries, ultimately transforming their life for the better.

The exemplary use and supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the pandemic were also commended by both customers and carers. A family member of a customer expressed their complete satisfaction, stating that they felt "100% happy" with how Manaaki Healthcare managed things in relation to COVID-19. The availability of PPE was described as "plentiful," assuring everyone's safety during these challenging times.

Registered Manager Kelly Taylor emphasized the dedication of the team during the pandemic, saying, "Covid-19 has presented a number of challenges, but as a team, we’ve worked tirelessly to continue delivering a high level of service. We are possibly most proud of having delivered a 'safe' and 'well-led' service during these extraordinary times. As the manager of the branch, I could not be any prouder of my team, and I’m grateful for the comments from our customers."

Sukhi Dhillon, the director overseeing the team, shared his delight, saying, "I’m delighted that everyone’s hard work at Manaaki Healthcare has been recognized following our CQC inspection. To receive a 'Good' rating for our first inspection is a brilliant achievement and a springboard for us to go even further when our next one comes around. Customer feedback has been amazing and shows our passion for the role we play in the community."

At a time when care recruitment is proving more challenging than ever, Manaaki Healthcare stands out for not only retaining its dedicated team but also continuing to grow. The organization encourages open dialogue, where staff are empowered to share their opinions and feedback. This approach has fostered a "positive team ethos," allowing carers to communicate openly with management. Such transparency extends to the consistent communication provided to customers, ensuring their needs are met with the utmost care and attention.

Manaaki Healthcares exceptional performance during the CQC inspection is a testament to their unwavering commitment to providing high-quality care in the community. Their supportive company ethos and dedication to going the extra mile are setting a remarkable standard in the world of care providers.
